How Can Chiropractic Help Me?
Pain Management
Chiropractic offers a gentle, natural approach to supporting movement and comfort.
Chiropractic care is widely used to help manage musculoskeletal discomfort, particularly in the back, neck, and joints. Our focus is on supporting healthy spinal function and mobility to help you stay active and comfortable.
Improved Mobility
Many people experience stiffness or reduced movement due to musculoskeletal tension. Gentle chiropractic techniques can help improve joint flexibility and range of motion, allowing easier movement in daily life.
Posture Support
Modern lifestyles can often contribute to poor postural habits. Chiropractic care can help improve awareness of posture and support spinal function, which may assist in reducing related discomfort such as back or neck tension.
Stress and Tension Relief
Physical tension is often linked to stress. Through gentle manual therapy, chiropractic care can help release muscle tightness and promote relaxation, supporting your overall sense of wellbeing.
Whole-Body Wellbeing
Chiropractic care takes a person‑centred approach to musculoskeletal health. By supporting spinal mobility and joint function, it aims to contribute to overall comfort and quality of movement as part of a balanced, healthy lifestyle.

Your health journey with us
We hope to make your first visit as comfortable as possible.
We have a 5-step guide to chiropractic care at the Phoenix Health Hub to help you prepare for your new patient consultation:
What to expect on your first visit...
Initial Consultation
Step 1
Initial Consultation
When you arrive, we'll ask you to complete a short form to let us know about your health history.
This helps your chiropractor understand any personal goals and medical factors they may need to consider during your assessment.
Physical Examination
Step 2
Physical Examination
After reviewing your initial questionnaire with you, your chiropractor will carry out a physical assessment as part of your consultation.
This helps to identify areas of joint restriction, muscle tension, or movement imbalance that may be contributing to any issues or symptoms you're experiencing.
Digital X-ray
Step 3
Digital X-rays
X-rays can help us identify or rule out specific structural factors relevant to your symptoms in order to plan your care safely and on the best available information.
If your chiropractor judges that an X-ray is clinically justified, they will explain why and discuss this with you first. X-rays can be performed onsite and are included in your consultation at no additional cost.
Report of Findings
Step 4
Report of Findings
At this follow-up appointment, your chiropractor reviews the results of your examination with you, along with any tests or X-rays taken, and discuss how these may relate to your symptoms.
You'll have time to ask questions and talk through any findings in relation to joint movement, muscle function and posture.
For more information about the Report of Findings, please see below.
Digital X-ray
Step 5
Treatment Plan
Your chiropractor will discuss a recommended approach to care, tailored to your comfort and individual needs and explain what to expect.
If you decide to begin care following your Report of Findings appointment, your first chiropractic treatment can usually be carried out during the same visit.

Report of Findings
What to expect
Your Report of Findings is an important part of your chiropractic care journey. This follow‑up appointment takes place after your initial consultation and is dedicated to reviewing your examination results and any X‑rays taken.
Explanation
During this visit, your chiropractor will take time to explain the results of your assessment and any imaging in clear, understandable terms. We’ll discuss what was observed in relation to your posture, joint movement, and spinal function, helping you understand how these may relate to the symptoms you’ve described.
Understanding Contributing Factors
Our approach goes beyond simply addressing discomfort. We aim to identify musculoskeletal factors, such as joint restriction, muscle tension, or movement patterns, that may be contributing to your pain or limited mobility.
Your chiropractor will outline a care plan designed to support better function, movement, and comfort, and will always discuss when input from other healthcare professionals might be beneficial.
Customised Care Plan
Based on your assessment findings, your chiropractor will recommend a personalised care plan tailored to your individual needs and goals. This plan may include a combination of chiropractic techniques, soft tissue work, lifestyle advice, and home exercises aimed at improving mobility, reducing discomfort, and supporting overall musculoskeletal function.
Time for Questions
We believe informed patients make confident decisions about their care. That’s why we welcome any questions you may have, whether about your assessment, care options, or how chiropractic may support your comfort and mobility. We're here to offer clarity and reassurance at every step.
Next Steps: Your First Treatment
If you choose to begin care, your first chiropractic session can often take place during this appointment (treatment fees apply). This marks the start of your tailored care plan.
Your Report of Findings appointment provides a clear understanding of your current musculoskeletal health and outlines how chiropractic care may support your recovery and long-term wellbeing.

Chiropractic Treatment
Your first chiropractic session marks the start of your care plan.
If you decide to proceed after your Report of Findings appointment, we can usually begin care straight away.
Chiropractic Techniques
At the centre of chiropractic care are gentle, manual techniques designed to improve joint movement and spinal function. During your session, your chiropractor will use specific, controlled adjustments to areas that were identified as stiff or restricted in your assessment.
These techniques aim to ease tension, improve mobility, and support comfortable movement.
Tailored to You
Each session is personalised to your individual needs and comfort level. Your chiropractor will adapt techniques based on your assessment findings and how your body responds to care.
What You May Notice
Many people report feeling more comfortable or flexible after treatment, while others simply notice a sense of relaxation. Responses vary from person to person, and improvement is usually gradual as part of a longer‑term care plan.
Addressing Any Concerns
We understand that starting a new type of care can raise questions, especially if it’s your first experience with chiropractic. Before beginning, your chiropractor will explain each technique and answer any questions you may have. Our priority is to make sure you feel informed, comfortable, and confident in your care.
Your First Step Toward Improved Comfort and Mobility
Your first treatment is an important milestone in your chiropractic journey. The techniques used are designed to ease tension, improve joint movement, and support better musculoskeletal function. Everyone responds differently — some people notice an immediate sense of ease or relaxation, while others experience gradual improvement over a series of visits.
Planning for Future Visits
At the end of your first session, we’ll discuss the schedule recommended in your personalised care plan. Regular, consistent care helps you get the most from treatment, and we’ll always tailor your visit plan to suit your lifestyle and goals.
Starting chiropractic care is a proactive step toward supporting your movement, comfort, and everyday function. We’re here to guide you through each stage of your care, helping you work toward better musculoskeletal health and confidence in how your body moves.

Ongoing Care
While many people feel relief soon after starting chiropractic care, the greatest benefits can be achieved through consistent, ongoing support to help you sustain comfort, mobility and function over time.
How ongoing chiropractic care can benefit you:
Maintaining Progress and Reducing Relapse
After the initial phase of care, continued visits can help maintain improvements in movement and reduce the chance of symptoms returning.
Factors like posture, work habits, or daily activity can contribute to recurring tension or stiffness — regular check‑ins allow your chiropractor to help you manage these effectively.
Supporting Spinal Function and Posture
Your spine plays a vital role in movement and stability. Everyday stresses such as sitting for long periods, repetitive movements, or physical strain can affect how well it functions.
Regular chiropractic care aims to support spinal mobility and promote awareness of healthy posture, helping you move more freely and comfortably.
Encouraging Flexibility and Movement
As we get older, joints can naturally lose flexibility. Chiropractic care focuses on maintaining good joint motion and muscular balance, which can help reduce stiffness and support an active lifestyle.
Supporting Wellbeing
Chiropractic care isn’t only about relieving pain, it can also help support your general wellbeing by improving how your body moves and functions. Regular care can assist in maintaining joint flexibility, easing tension, and supporting comfortable, confident movement in daily life.
Managing Tension and Promoting Relaxation
Musculoskeletal tension can often increase during times of stress. Chiropractic techniques may help ease that tension, supporting relaxation and physical comfort. Many people find that this contributes to a greater sense of ease and wellbeing.
Staying Active and Reducing the Risk of Strain
For those with active lifestyles, whether in sport, work, or recreation, regular chiropractic care can help maintain flexibility and joint function. This may assist in reducing muscular strain and supporting recovery after physical activity.
Maintaining the Benefits of Care
Chiropractic care works best when it’s consistent. Regular sessions help maintain the progress made in addressing discomfort or stiffness, and support ongoing movement, posture, and comfort as part of your routine musculoskeletal care.
Tailored to You
Your chiropractor will work with you to create a maintenance schedule suited to your goals, lifestyle, and comfort. Whether that means occasional check‑ups or more frequent visits, your care plan is always personalised to your needs.
