At Phoenix Health Hub, our mission is to provide meaningful wellbeing options and support — not just for individuals, but for the wider community.
We proudly opened our first centre in our hometown of Uckfield on 3rd September 2022, officially launched by the Mayor, Jackie Love. This space marks the beginning of a journey to promote proactive, supportive, and sustainable wellbeing practices.
As we grow, our intention is to empower like-minded professionals to adapt and evolve the Phoenix model, helping more people feel well, function well, and stay well.
We believe that introducing healthy routines and practices can help counterbalance the everyday stressors, habits, or attachments that may affect our wellbeing. Through gentle change and intentional care, true balance becomes possible — and from there, wellbeing can begin to thrive.
The NHS definition of ‘wellbeing’ states:
“Wellbeing is about feeling good and functioning well and comprises an individual's experience of their life; and a comparison of life circumstances with social norms and values.”
At Phoenix Health Hub, we align with this holistic view — that wellbeing isn’t just about avoiding illness, but about living with balance, connection, and purpose.
While issues such as alcohol, drug use, and gambling are commonly recognised as unhealthy addictions, modern life presents many subtler habits and attachments that can also impact our wellbeing.
Today, many of us find ourselves overly attached to one or more of the following:
• Constant phone or screen use
• Inactivity or a sedentary lifestyle
• Overworking or difficulty disconnecting
• Social media comparison
• Poor sleep routines
• Sugar or processed food
• Chronic stress or overstimulation
Our goal is to support individuals in creating healthy additions to their lives — small, manageable shifts that promote resilience, awareness, and long-term wellbeing.
Physical and mental wellbeing is essential to have a good life and that’s what we aim to provide to individuals and the community to bring about the change required for a happier, healthier, more sustainable population.
Your health journey with us
We hope to make your first visit as comfortable as possible.
We have a 5-step guide to chiropractic care at the Phoenix Health Hub to help you prepare for your new patient consultation:
What to expect on your first visit...
Initial Consultation
Step 1
Initial Consultation
When you arrive, we'll ask you to complete a short form to let us know about your health history.
This helps your chiropractor understand any personal goals and medical factors they may need to consider during your assessment.
Physical Examination
Step 2
Physical Examination
After reviewing your initial questionnaire with you, your chiropractor will carry out a physical assessment as part of your consultation.
This helps to identify areas of joint restriction, muscle tension, or movement imbalance that may be contributing to any issues or symptoms you're experiencing.
Digital X-ray
Step 3
Digital X-rays
X-rays can help us identify or rule out specific structural factors relevant to your symptoms in order to plan your care safely and on the best available information.
If your chiropractor judges that an X-ray is clinically justified, they will explain why and discuss this with you first. X-rays can be performed onsite and are included in your consultation at no additional cost.
Report of Findings
Step 4
Report of Findings
At this follow-up appointment, your chiropractor reviews the results of your examination with you, along with any tests or X-rays taken, and discuss how these may relate to your symptoms.
You'll have time to ask questions and talk through any findings in relation to joint movement, muscle function and posture.
For more information about the Report of Findings, please see below.
Digital X-ray
Step 5
Treatment Plan
Your chiropractor will discuss a recommended approach to care, tailored to your comfort and individual needs and explain what to expect.
If you decide to begin care following your Report of Findings appointment, your first chiropractic treatment can usually be carried out during the same visit.
